I made this small soviet timeline, and I would like your opinions on it, I do not plan to turn it on a scenario, but it would be epic if someone did
PoD: Stalin is killed in 1903 after a bank robery
1917-1924 the Russian civil war and the formation of USSR follows as OTL, but after Lenin dies the power struggle happens between Ivan Smirnov and Trotsky, and Ivan win
1925-1928 The soviet economy begins to recover from the war, the NEP is slowy changed back to planned economy, there are no purges on the party elite
1928-1933 first five year plan on agriculture
1933-1938 second five year plan, on light and medium industry
1938-1941 third five year plan, focused on heavy industry and the army, the soviet economy catches up with the great powers
1941 Operation barbarossa starts, without the purges and with the soviet economy in better shape the germans are stopped in the Dnieper in south, while in north they advance until smolensk, but are pushed back to minsk in the winter counter offensive
Early 1945: the war in europe ends, the soviet union makes rougly the same advances as OTL
In the post war, the soviet union annex all the regions they did as OTL, Moldova, the baltics, eastern poland and Akarpatska. in 1947 the soviets retreat from central europe back in their borders (there is no 1947 famine aswell) and allow free elections to happen in those countries, Germany is unified and still holds Silesia and Western Prussia (but Kaliningrad is still annexed into the USSR)
So, what do you think?
