Let me guess: Bernie Sanders is one of the Green senators from Vermont, am I correct?
The oldest and largest opposition political party in the United States, it is the most prominent pro-business force in the country. Economically center-right and socially centrist, it also maintains a large libertarian faction. Its centered in the Mid-Atlantic states, specifically in New York, with seats across the United States. It is home to a large moderate business faction, made up of the middle to upper-middle class, and the smaller but more powerful 500 faction, consisting of millionaires, billionaires, and prominent business and political families. The leadership mostly consists of party members from the 500 faction which commonly causes in-party strife and the perception that the party is of the 1%, which the party desperately tries to avoid.
A populist party, it split from the Liberal Party from the aforementioned common view of the Liberal Party, and as a result it does not have good relations with them. At all. It is home to moderate liberals, largely business-friendly but all open to increased regulation. It is centered in the state of Eureka, where it effectively dominates the in state political landscape. Outside of the state however it is in fierce opposition in the states of the West Coast, seeing the greatest success in Oregon and Cascadia. In both states it successfully supplanted the National Union as the main political party in each states. Those two states are the only states in the entire US where the National Union is not the ruling party or the main opposition.

Only Eureka has 2 senators from the Center Party, they also have one Senator in Arizona, Cascadia, New Mexico, and Oregon. The Governors are from Eureka and Oregon.
The Liberals have senators in Alaska, Delware, Florida, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Dakota and Utah.
The National Union has 46 senators total and as many Governors.
Yep, people aren't exactly wrong when they call it the party of the rich. The leadership is full of them.
I'm not quite sure what you mean, the Green Party are plenty left enough with them being eco-socialists. If you mean traditional American style liberalism, that would be the small Center Party. If you mean labor leftism, there are the Christian left in the National Union.
Also if anyone else is wondering about what other Free States are there.
The Free States are a group of four U.S. states where an ethnic minority in the United States as a whole is a majority in these states and most importantly are governed almost exclusively by the ethnic minorities.
The Free States are:
Red: Hispanic/Latino Free State of California
Orange: Native American Free State of Sequoyah
Blue: African American Free States of Louisiana and Liberty.

So are free states a legally defined term with a different relationship with the federal government under the constitution (like autonomous regions in other countries)? Or is it just an unofficial term for majority minority states?
Constitutionally no they do not have a different relationship with the federal government and they didn't at first. In fact they had contentious relationships with nativist conservative Presidents and in general they got screwed over by them. However when the Free States became economically powerful, especially California with all that oil, the Free States started pulling their political and economic leverage by demanding special recognition. For California its recognizing its Spanish heritage, for the Black states its help dealing with its rather discriminatory neighbors, and for Sequoyah its economic assistance since its the poorest one. So yeah it is an unofficial term but it also refers to the special policies that the federal governments treats these states with.

I'd very much like to see at least a worlda map of how this timeline shook out, with maybe a cliff notes version of the timeline.
Only the National Party is a truly nationwide party, every other party is regional although the Liberals aren't that far away from becoming a nation-wide party. There is very little cooperation between the non-National Union Parties as a matter of fact, not only they are deeply separated by ideology but also they don't trust each other. They would gladly stab each other in the back in the National Union primaries if it means that they get to be part of the coalition that chooses the Presidential nominee. I will post a brief description tomorrow.

Tbh outside of Western Europe, parts of the Americas, and the Pacific countries, I have little idea on how the world would look like. When I started this timeline I wanted to focus on very specific regions, namely California and the USA. Of course now I think I need to branch out with my posts. If i do make a world map though, I plan for it to be a custom hand drawn one.
Speaking of branching out. I would like to hear about what are your guys thoughts on what should I post in the next week or so. Right now I'm recapping the 2016 election, but I've thought about covering the hellscape that I've created in Europe. Alternatively I can go back to covering California. What would you guys like to see?
