That's interesting! If such rebellion happens probably it would force Eric II to seek support from Edward I in order to defend his wife's claim.

It all depends on what side the Colymns decide to cast their lot with, the Stewarts would go with Bruce (James Steward was Bruce's man in the Guardians) and the Balliols were linked with the Colymns. However I think the Colymns would have stayed loyal, so you would have King Eric & the Colymns/Balliols against the Stewarts,Bruces and the Lords of the Isle though they would be fighting for their independence. Robert Bruce would probably try and get Edward on his side (he was a real chancer) but I doubt Edward is going to do anything against his niece.

Of course one question I don't know the answer to is, How Strong was the Norwegian Army?
