How far exactly did Alexander liberal political views go? Was he a supporter of ending serfdom and the creation of a constitution?

Oncr again I forgot something, did the Tsar really convert to some sort of mystic Christianity as wikipedia says?

Well IDK about serfdom but he started the groundwork for granting a constitution, but the reforms were sadly stopped. For instance, Alexander created the State Council, which was envisioned to be an upper house of a Parliament. Well I managed to poke around a bit more and a few places did say he had plans to abolish serfdom, at least in the manner in which Austria did it in the late 18th century. Its sad that the Emperor went down the dark path of reactionism. But would the arisoltocracy have attempted to stop Alexander?

Yes, as I'm aware. Mysticism grew to be famously popular in Russia in the century before the Revolution.

Okay thanks, though you wouldnt happen to have a good source on this Russian mysticism?
