So I've pored over what secondary accounts I could concerning Tudor England, but I've yet to find anything that addresses the eldest son of Henry VII in anything but passing. So what I'm curious about - for those here more literate in early modern England - is what quality of character prince Arthur possessed. Was he brash and indulgent like his younger brother, the future king Henry VIII? Calculating and domineering like his father? My instinct when studying him is to define him as somewhat insecure, but that's more than likely just the impression that I get from his behavior as a youth, which was typical at that time of a boy being groomed for kingship. Any assistance - even pure speculation - would be greatly appreciated
Addendum: if you could estimate what effect his advisors (Wolsey, for instance) would have on him, that would be extra helpful
