A question about the Yugoslav Wars

My understanding is that it was minimal. Some mujahadeen volunteers were sent to protect fellow Muslims, but I do not believe they were able to have any real influence in terms of Bosnian politics, although the US was concerned about the potential to do so.

This is my understanding as well. IIRC, there were a few loud voices in Iran calling for greater involvement, but the majority of politicians didn't want to get too involved for whatever reason.

Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey were players of some significance in the area. AFAIK, Iran was not. There was solidarity with fellow Muslims, but I deeply doubt that anyone in Tehran ever seriously considered local influence, power projection or even serious propaganda commitment, let alone anything political.

Well, there were rumors and some press reports about Iranian covert influence in B&H.
