I'm not sure where exactly to put this, I guess before 1900 is a better place than any other. if this needs to be moved, feel free to do so.
now, here is my question:
I am writing a TL which has a POD in the late 9th century, which eventually leads to a Khazar resurgence in the early 900s. after successfully defeating the Pechenegs (won't get into the details here) they manage to reassert their dominance of the Pontic steps.
okay, so I haven't asked the question yet, my bad. so at one point the Khazars dominated the Oghuz turks in west Transoxiana, but presumably after the decline of the Khazars, the Oghuz broke their subservience and went on a conquering spree in the middle east.
so would you consider it implausible if the Khazars manage to force the Oghuz Turks to pay tribute to them again before Seljuk, and more of the Turks in Transoxiana besides... and this leads to no Seljuks? or is that too ASB?
would it be better if in my TL I had the Seljuks expand as IOTL, or would this be [semi]-believable?
feedback would be great, I'd like some input before settling on what to write next.
