A Post Lincoln alternate political timeline 1865 onward

First let me introduce myself (this being my first thread made on this forum) I am a long standing memory of the 270softforum,the make games such as President Infinity and Prime Minister Infinity,I was an active member there for 3 years. I've decided to move onto a new forum that focuses more on alternate political timelines and after searching around I found this one. So I decided to join in! I am an 18 year old Democratic Committeeman for my counties party in PA,I am planning on running for a county office next year, and have been on political staffs such as,Bob Solomon for Congress, and John Fetterman for Senate (When I couldn't even vote!). I am A center left Democrat and politicians that inspire me the most are-Bobby Kennedy,Bernie Sanders,Ed Brooke,William Jennings Bryan, and Theodore Rossevelt. This is my first timeline on this forum so I would appreciate any support, also I will be using President Infinity for the presidential elections for this timeline, Now on to the Timeline

Welcome. I seem to recall that Iaianbrix is also involved politically in Britain, though I may have mangled his spelling. I kept wanting to just do I a AI a for about 20 letters. :)

If you are doing one with a Point of Departure before 1900 oh, such as the title indicates here, it belongs in the before 1900 forum. But, don't worry, you will get the hang of this place pretty soon.

Welcome! :)

And, I personally like spanning topics in which a pre-1900 change plays out in the 1900s and beyond. I’d say an obvious change is that Reconstruction is considerably more successful and African-American citizens have their rights recognized as regular, first-class citizens far earlier. And whatever possibilities led to this also leads to equal rights for women considerably earlier, and just maybe for Native Americans so that some of the bad shit in the 1870s, ‘80s, and ‘90s is avoided.

But . . straight utopia is boring. So, along with earlier neutrality toward labor unions or even tilting ever so slightly in unions’ favor, an earlier middle class, environmental protection matter-of-factly much earlier (think of erosion control projects of the New Deal, just more of it and branching out) . . . we begin drifting toward a dark future which we are poorly prepared to deal with, and therein begins the story.
