Saxland is the most influenced by France and the continent--traditions of chivalry, etc--while the other countries are off in their own Celtic and/or Scandinavian worlds, so the helmets and mantling are representative of a more French-ish tradition (which may not be strictly true historically speaking but that's the feel it gives to me, so maybe it's true in this timline), less so the crests which is why I was also toying around with some versions with crests (alternate more conventionally quartered escutcheon for Pictland too)

Shouldn't the falcon on the shield be white/silver? Also I would suggest the wing behind the supporters being behind the shield. Also the crest feels empty. Maybe add a seven pointed star or another falcon there?

The Falcon as described in the books is blue, "sky-blue falcon soaring upwards", I do admit that it would look better in silver and I plan to eventually switch it if the game lasts that long :p Good suggestion on the supporters will do that for the next CoA I make for the game.

On being empty, it does feels that way and I am already slowly changing that in the game with the personal CoA I made for Jeyne Arryn's heir, Joff Arryn

Is it? It has been a while since I read the books I suppose.

Just checked my copy of the World of Ice and Fire and there it is a blue falcon on a white circle on a blue background. I suppose you are right.

A pretty bad coat of arms I made for the Commonwealth of Rhodesia-Zimbabwe. I wanted to keep a distinctly Rhodesian feel to it while keeping the idea that it's majority ruled.

Eh, it's quite good, actually. :) And I say that as someone who prefer less busy coats of arms or great coats of arms.

It's not too busy, especially not the shield, and that's what counts.

*Looks at the Hammer and raises an eyebrow* In all seriousness cheers for that I'm neutral on how busy a Coat of Arms should be if it's a federal state hell yeah if not one defining symbol.

This set of four coat of arms style emblems is based on the four emblems I can recall best from a dream I had in late September. It was a sky pirate themed dream (not my first one !), with zeppelin and other airship crews tramping around as cargo-transport freelancers or air-corsairs-for-hire. The first emblem, in the upper left corner, is the one I remember the best. It was the emblem used by the crew under the command of the in-dream version of myself. A kestrel flying above three mountain peaks, with the upper part argent (to indicate snow) and the lower part green (presumably for forests). In the dream, the kestrel charge was actually argent, but I couldn't find a good enough flying kestrel falcon (loads of sitting ones, few flying ones), so I went with the one I did. I think it actually fits all the better, because the crew's emblem in my dream had a sort of folk-made, embroidered quality to it (displayed on a tapestry in the airship's mess hall, no less). The other three are the ones I remember completely enough to reconstruct them. Given the steampunk tone and themes of the dream, the sun charge actually reminded me of something when I was recalling the dream and writing it down - though he is an aircraft aeronaut rather than an airship aeronaut, Jules Verne's Robur the Conqueror had a sun with a face charge on his banner. Clever hidden reference by my subconscious ?! You decide... :D

A small addendum to my aeronaut guild coats of arms from October last year. Since late last year, I've developed the setting remembered from my dream and started writing a story in it. The aeronaut emblems have also received this backstory expansion. Below are my notes for all four emblems and related matters.

The emblems of airship and skyclipper crews, aeronauts ranging from respectable air merchants to de facto sky pirates, of one form or another.

Overview of the four emblems, starting from the upper left, in a clockwise direction:
Falconer Cloudways - airship aerofreight guild, the crew of the Nimrod tramp freight airship, operates only the Nimrod. Crew and guild motto: "Ex Caelo, Fortuna" ("From the Sky, Fortune").
Albatross - the sun-with-a-face emblem belongs to the crew of the privateer skyclipper Albatross. It is unknown if they carry out any shipping or other commercial activities.
Celestial Aerofreight Solutions - airship aerofreight company, operates several types of airships in a larger fleet. Company motto/slogan: "Deliveries like clockwork, by night and day."
Wyvern Windriders Aerial Shipping - airship aerofreight guild, operates several types of airships in a smaller fleet. Guild motto: "Bet on the dragon's teeth."

Many of these coat of arms style emblems also double as company logos of aerofreight guilds (crew-owned small companies) or larger aerofreight companies (with a more typical company structure). Orders for aerial transport range from quickly chartered deals with tramp freighters, to large-scale shipping on regular aerial freight lines. Most aerial shipping in the Aeroverse is carried out by airships, especially rigid airships, as aeroplanes are not big and sturdy enough yet to carry larger cargo, skyclippers are too rare and niche, and other flying vehicles are unsuitable for aerial transport of goods, cargo or passengers. (That said, smaller aeroplanes have seen use on some larger airships equipped with hangars, as scouting, courier and liaison vehicles for the airship crews.)

Most passenger transport in the Aeroverse is still restricted to land (carriages, motorcars, trains) and sea (boats and ships), with the overall number of purpose-built freight airships outweighing purpose-built passenger airships 4:1. Some aerofreight guilds do allow small-scale passenger transport on their freight airships, provided the would be passengers pay well, aren't nosy about the cargo in the hold and apply in small numbers (1-3 people).

The coat of arms of the Republic of Escadia was actually designed in 1947 two years after the effective implementation of the 1945 republican constitution that ended the British dominion rule have shown its changes within the coat of arms that switched from a royal one to a republican one that the heraldry of the crown was replaced by an actual Phrygian Cap to which symbolizes and represents that they are now a full republic. Another one is the lion with eagle wings which represents the actual former colonizer, the United Kingdom with the flag on the left side while the Eagle of St. John which represents that they were ruled by the Spanish Crown and on the lower part it has banners but with the constitutional changes, the name of the country replaces its old motto of Novum Inventanum in Oceani.

The feature of the heraldry includes the England, the Castile and Leon to which was represented by the Spanish rule, the flag of New Rhine-Terrebonne province and the old flag of the short-lived Republic of Castelo.

I'm not an expert with coat of arms making so mine are pretty average and I'm limited with what tools I can use but I figure I might as well post my coat of arms my ASB Wisconsin Civil War story and the background of Wisconsin.

When Wisconsin became a socialist republic in 1926 it had no official coat of arms until 1929 when the old national coat of arms of the old regime which was simply a red shield with a white star was replaced with a national seal which was somewhat based off of the practice of the use of seals by the United States.

The first emblem used by the new socialist republic was a simple blue colored seal with a red star symbolizing socialism with a phoenix representing rebirth and enlightenment for the Wisconsin people with the the national motto "Forward" below the phoenix. Though a socialist, the first president of Wisconsin, Daniel Hoan was anti-communist and opposed the Soviet Union, despite relations being normalized later on in 1941. Under both Hoan and John Makwa this was would be the first national emblem of Wisconsin until 1952.

This second emblem adopted by the Wisconsin Socialist Republic (renamed the People's Socialist Republic of Wisconsin in 1959-the present) was altered significantly to reflect the changing ideology of the Wisconsin state under the Presidency of John Makwa and Alexander Kokotni both of whom were Wisconsin Indians. Instead of a national seal this was an official national emblem that used for several decades until 1999. The emblem contained an oak wreath representing Wisconsin's forests and timber industry with a white star and a orange flame in the middle representing the revolution and the torch of enlightenment. On top was a Thunderbird, a mythological bird in Native American culture. The Thunderbird was a symbol to represent Wisconsin's unique national identity and Wisconsin nationalism which included elements of Pan-Amerindianism, and Wisconsin nationalist socialism as well. Though a majority white European people make up the country's population including German, English and Scandinavian, Wisconsin prior to the civil war in 2015 had over 2.5 million Native Wisconsin Indians. President Alexander Kokotni (1957-1993) attempted to bridge and forge a bond with both European customs and Native Indian customs including cultural and religious practices. The state was secular in nature. Religious groups could not form their own political parties or factions within the government and religion was separated from government practices though culturally Wisconsin was and still is a Christian society. The emblem was phased out in 1999 as the regime liberalized becoming less authoritarian and friendly in terms of the West.

In 1999 Wisconsin returned to using a national seal for its emblem until 2011 when it was replaced yet again under the presidency of Scott Walker. Though the regime liberalized in the late 1990s, it was still nominally a one-party socialist republic so the socialist white star and flame was still in use. The phoenix was returned as a symbol representing the promise of a rebirth under socialism with a golden laurel wreath surrounding the green seal background.

The emblem saw another evolution though this one was short lived because it was largely unpopular with both the government and by the general public. It replaced the socialist white star with a different symbol though returning again was the oak laurel wreath and the orange flame in the center. This emblem was used as well during the military junta that took over in 2015 which deposed of President Scott Walker for alleged "anti-socialist" acts and "treason". The design though largely the same caused many to question its choose of design, for example why was the white socialist star replaced with this star symbol? Did this mean that the national flag was going to be changed as well? The answer was no. In 2019 the People's Assembly voted to replace with another emblem that would hopefully be more popular and well received by the public.

In 2019 after the military junta was officially dissolved, a new state emblem was unveiled to the public. It was largely based off the older emblem used during the Kokotni era with some minor changes. Instead of the orange flame in the center of the star was on top and the Thunderbird emblem was placed in the center. The socialist white star reappeared again much to the public's support. The similarities between the old Kokotni era emblem and today's current emblem is part of a campaign by the government to bring back some elements of the old regime while reforming the system in place. Political prisoners have been freed since 2017 under a new president and the military junta as said above has dissolved. The country remains in a state of civil war however because of the Covid19 pandemic fighting has been reduced to small skirmishes for the time being.
