OK, during WWII, in the RAF there were alot of Dominion officers who achieved high rank and became heavily influential in the RAF's conduct of the war- such as AVM Don Bennett of the RAAF, who formed and led the Pathfinders of Bomber Command, later becoming the youngest officer to be promoted to Air Vice Marshal. Now, WI there'd been such a high-ranking officer appointed in the RAF from 1 of the colonies, such as India or the West Indies ? There were a fair few East and West Indians in RAF blue during 1939-45, but WI there'd been at least 1 who reached the rank and stature of Don Bennett or any of the other airmen from the white Dominions ?
