I am thinking is a match between Azzone of Milan and Maria of Sicily even possible since Azzone's father tried to marry Maria of Sicily.
Maria of Sicily and Azzone have a lesser age gap than that of her OTL husband who is almost her child.

Would this marriage be more acceptable for the Sicilians?

Yeah that's plausible in theory but Gian Galeazzo tried to marry Maria an year before Azzone's death and it did not work, she was kidnapped by upstart nobles and remained in their custody for two years - meaning the marriage would be impossible in practice.
