A MAN ALONE... - a slightly different ww1

historically, many of them, including the ringleader, survived attaching themself to the italian troops and fully defect...later forming (with other prisoners) a sort of italian foreign legion.

Cool. Might Italy try to push to get more of the AH troops, especially Catholic ones, to join the Legions. Maybe they could be used also to act like infiltraters in future assaults?

Possible...but probably more thanks AH paranoia/mismanagement than to an italian effective capacity to bring them on their side. Finally much of the success of the conspirators and of the italian offensive was due to the fact that on Trentino there were second or even third rate troops, that were even short in supply and heavy weapons, very difficult to repeat this miracle

So Italy lucked out but may roll snake eyes if they try again.

Will the Italian fleet be able to have any better successes ITTL?

Almost assured, that was basically a perfect storm, a 'one in a lifetime' occasion that OTL was wasted but here (with different people in charge) not. Naturally one need to take in consideration that Trentino is a strategical dead end; due to the Brennero and the logistic problem a breakthrough here to reach Vienna is basically impossible, still it mean divert troops and create panic in the Austrian, so in the end it's very helpfull.

Possible but not probable, the Austrian Navy for now want to remain safe in their port and the artillery cost it's a good deterrent for anyone with strange ideas
