A Lot More Gold in Klondike

(a bit ASB in someway)

WI during the Klondike gold rush had more large gold deposit (no the biggest in the world just enough to make it a lot more interesting) had been found in the region

Geological what-ifs are kosher here as long as they are within reasonable limits of plausibility, at least according to Ian. So you don't need to worry too much about the ASB's. It doesn't directly affect the development of the human species, so it's all good.

As far as I know the Yukon is still producing so they had a lot of gold there at any rate. But if there was so much more gold that it was bleedingly obvious then it might mean an earlier discovery. Gold could make a more obvious appearance with the Tlingit trade with the interior, which would encourage more European interest. A mini-Great Game between the Hudson's Bay Company and the Russian-American Company over the gold in the region would be interesting. Russian-British-Tlingit struggles and intrigues over gold in the Yukon.
