So, I've got two big timelines planned for the next year and a bit. One involving a 1600 pod, that sees Charles I marry a different woman and win the civil war, and another involving Louis XVI having a son in 1778 and William IV marrying earlier.
What I am trying to decide is in which timeline I want there to be an Indian Empire where the British do not control India. I've been doing some reading and the two things I have reached is that either, I push my pod for the William and Louis timeline back to the 1730s or so, and have the Marathas adapt a more taxation based system, or I have them in at Panipat in 1761 and go from there.
Or alternatively, in the Stuart timeline, I do something different and have either a more successful and long lasting Mughal State or I have a pushed back Pod and have Krishnadevarya of the Vijaynagare Empire have a surviving son and have that son and his descendants spread and take over India.
My question to you, my fine people of alternate history, is which one should I go for?
