The Qing are really falling apart. At this rate, the Europeans, especially Russia and Britain, are gonna grab large chunks of the coast either as puppet states or even colonies.:eek:

Aah, they're not doing much worse than OTL. Extra fun and games, but the difficulty level of actually carving off chunks of China isn't substantially decreased. There aren't any puppets to be had at this point, for one thing. Unless this somehow butterflies the Taiping collapse of the 60s, the Qing will survive...for now.

That seemed to be what I was getting from this, that Kashgaria was making the Taiping situation worse and destroying a lot of Qing control directly and indirectly.
