A Letter to God (A Nuclear WC Scenario)

Dear God,
How have we fallen from your grace? I remember the school days, the meals, the families, the sun, oh how I miss her warmth.
The clouds mean death
Could I have prevented it? What could I have done different? Should I have stayed outside? Somedays, I wish I did.
The clouds mean death
I remember the day I left. I marched to where the sun used to rise. I came across the child on the fourth day.
The clouds mean death
He was weak, small, afraid, and slow. I cannot live with myself. I wish to perish.
The clouds mean death
I remember the fires on the horizon. The clouds chased me. They were relentless.
The clouds mean death
I followed the yellow slashes. They took me where I needed. A white, burning city
The clouds mean death
I think this is over. I sit next to a man as still as me. His face I saw on bronze and on paper. He cares not for my cries.
The clouds mean death
I weep at his feet.
The clouds mean death
He stares east.
The clouds mean death
I ask him why.
The clouds mean death
He stares east.
The clouds mean death
I beg to him.
The clouds mean death
He stares east.
The clouds mean death
I ask him if he wishes me to die.
The clouds mean death
He stares east.
The clouds mean death
I head east. I see a thousand suns behind me.
The clouds mean death
I reach the sea. The clouds are coming.
The clouds mean death

Why?

Note: This is not meant to be great, I was bored.
