A different spouse for Maria Theresa of Spain?

What if the marriage negotiations between Habsburg Spain and Bourbon France fell apart and María Theresa had a different spouse with which she had issue? What other husbands are potentially available to her? What is the impact of these descendants inheriting after the death of her half brother Charles II?

The best way for butterflying the wedding of Louis and Maria Theresa is the survival of Ferdinand IV, King of Romans, the eldest son of Ferdinand III of Austria to which she was engaged.
An alternative is having Archduke Leopold Wilhelm of Austria, Ferdinand III's younger brother becoming his successor as Emperor (either because he decided to accept the imperial crown when was offered to him, instead of stalling the election until Leopold I reached the age necessary for being elected or because Leopold also die and his next (half-)brother was too young for being elected in an acceptable time)

Why not her cousin, Infante Carlos, Count of Montemolín. He's the eldest son of her uncle Carlos and would have definitely stopped any carlist agitation in the country.
