I don't think so. There *was* a precedent of Sweden skipping over next in line for the throne: 1) Carl IX became king instead of Johan, duke of Finland (a closer relative of the last king); 2) Ulrika Eleonora becoming queen instead of the young duke of Holstein; 3) Adolf Frederik's election skipping over the several Badenese princes who stood higher in the Swedish succession

Either way, I doubt the King/Crown Prince of Sweden will marry a Danish noblewoman, even if she's from an illegitimate branch of the royal family. So if not Sophie of Sweden or his OTL wife, who becomes Christian August's consort?
