A different drive through Dallas-a semi-mini-TL

A short TL, this will more or less cover the Kennedy presidency from 1963 to 1969, with a brief summary of the aftermath.

On November 22nd, 1963, the world was stunned and relieved at once. The popular President of the United States, a
young man named John Fitzgerald Kennedy, was nearly assassinated...or not. On one hand, a certain Lee Harvey Oswald
had shot at him with a sniper rifle while he drove through Dallas, but on the other hand, success was more or less impossible
due to one fateful decision.

John's Diary-November 23rd, 1963

Well, I guess listening to my staff paid off. Sure, I wanted to greet the
people of Dallas with a roofless car, but in retrospect it would have cost me my life.
I'm hearing on the television that they're still hunting down the shooter-his name was Lee
Harvey Oswald or something. My immediate priority, however, is making it a policy that any
drive-by visits will be in a hooded car, and that we get some much better security. Hopefully I can
focus on my actual presidency soon.
