From the Founding of the United States the idea that the nation had a ‘Manifest Destiny” to control all of the continental North America, would dominate the thinking of the political and military leadership, leading the Nation Directly into three wars, and indirectly costing us two more, most importantly the “Second American War” also know as the “War of Union Aggression” or “The War of Confederate Independence”. A Short introduction

I'll just keep going then.

The timeline will mostly focus on the *American Civil War and After. In TTL the 19th century is dominated by a series of on and off wars between the French Empire and the British and the shifting Alliances, like a bigger and longer Napoleonic War, with more nations involved. I will give a timeline leading up to the war, if people want, other wise it events will be referred to and explained as the need arises.
