A Different Battle of France, 1940

Suppose these two different scenarios happened:

-Something happens in the German high command and the Nazis decide not to attack the Ardennes. They opt to attack through Belgium instead.

-The Germans DO attack through the Ardennes... but the French are prepared for an attack on that area and proceed to deploy landmines, anti-Tank infantry, light infantry, etc. in that area.

How would the Battle of France proceed?

That's what the French and British expected and what the Germans also did in OTL. The Allied Dyle plan was meant to deal with that, and it would work.

The Ardennes are in Belgium. The French cannot preemptively deploy French troops in neutral Belgium.
They can deploy troops along the southern end of the French-Belgian border - which they did in OTL.
