A Different 2008: Feingold v.s. Brownback

Hi, I'm new to this site and this is my first TL. This will be an open timeline and will explore an alternate scenario in which Russ Feingold and Sam Brownback win their parties' nominations in 2008. November 12, 2006: Senator Russ Feingold (D-WI) announces his presidential run in order to gain early traction.

November 17, 2006: A CNN/ORC finds that Hillary Clinton is the Democratic frontrunner with 33%. Barack Obama has 15%, John Edwards 14%, Al Gore 14%, John Kerry 7%, Russ Feingold 4%, Wesley Clark 3%, Joe Biden 3% and Evan Bayh has 1%. Six percent of likely voters are undecided.
