A Chinese kingdom in Central Asia

I'd like to bump this because it offers a really fascinating inquiry into a number of dispatched kingdoms and peoples- whole cultures, languages, philosophies, ideologies, ideas- that were vanished for lack of luck or power...

I am intrigued by the states that remained, that lasted through into our time versus those who did not; why was Korea able to last where the Khitan were not? The Goryeo no longer exist but the Cambodians do... The Tocharia, Sogdiana, Bactria... anyway, I like the OP and wanted to bring it back up
