why not use paint.net?
Map of north Germany and surrounding areas after a 20m sea level rise.
Though knowing the Dutch, the Netherlands will likely have added more land while Germany sinks.
I'm on a Mac and don't have a partitioned drive to support Windows, and I couldn't find a Mac version on their site.
Question: are the various BAM (QBAM, VTBAM, MBAM, etc) maps open for use/modification in various timelines, or are they solely proprietary? Figured I'd ask here since I can't seem to find a rules post.
They're for open use by anyone.
There are a few alternatives for Mac listed on the paint.net forum (an old thread, but they're probably still valid): https://forums.getpaint.net/topic/19254-best-paintnet-alternative-for-mac/
I think the one used most here is probably Gimp, though I've never used it myself.
Made another flood map. The Caucasus after a 20m sea level rise.
have you tried Pinta? https://pinta-project.com/pintaproject/pinta/
it's essentially paint.net for things other than windows. it's simpler than GIMP if you don't want to be bothered with it (i personally dont ). i used it for about a year and it does pretty much everything paint.net does
Excellent map, do you have a version with rivers? Is there a thread for this map? I'd like a version with 1939 borders
Would anyone have a blank north america map with major rivers and borders? I had one but sadly it doesnt like my new computer.
Are you familiar with Krita?
Oh thank you--this looks like the best I've seen! I'll give it a shot!
Hey y'all do you guys happen to have an equirectangular world map featuring a 80m sea level rise, would ya? Or, alternatively, a program that can convert one map projection to another?
Why don't you try NASA's G.Projector?
Does anyone know if there's a QBam map with the Arno and Rubicon rivers on it? I'm sure I saw it once. Those two rivers mark the boundary between peninsular Italy, and the northern part, more subject to barbaric ocupations.
Unfortunately, the map that I want to convert isn't in one of the 6 accepted input projections (I have a map want to take from, I believe, Wagner VIII to Equirectangular).
edit: But thank you nonetheless! I don't really work with world maps all that often, so G. Projector should be useful in the future.
I see flood maps are pretty popular here. This isn't one though. Just a good old fashioned south no borders blank map of south Asia I made for something else. I figured I'd leave it here. If anyone wants a white one, just ask.
