A Bavarian in Lisbon

So, Princess Ludovika of Bavaria, OTL Duchess in Bayern, fell in love with Prince Miguel of Portugal (Miguel I). However, due to political pressures such a match was declined. Let's assume for some reason that whatever those political pressures were, Miguel and Ludovika marry.

Considering how much OTL she disliked ceremony, and formality - she, much her daughter, Sisi, had a horror of the stiff etiquette in Vienna - how might she react to being queen in Portugal instead of Duchess in Bavaria?

Surprisingly, Miguel I still ended up with a Wittelsbach wife - just a way-away on the family tree and from a line ineligible to inherit - Adelaide of Lowenstein-Wertheim-Rochefort. And two of Miguel's daughters - Maria Teresa and Maria José - married Wittelsbach/half-Wittelsbach princes, Archduke Karl Ludwig (brother of Franz Josef) and Prince Karl Theodor (brother of Empress Sisi).

But personally, Ludovika was in Archduchess Sophie (her sister)'s thrall most of her life. She bowed and scraped for Sophie (not sure why, though). So, even in Lisbon (if Miguel stays king), Ludovika's actions might merely be following Sophie's example.
