A 70's with Internet

In my opinion without world war 2, the internet can evolve from minitel transferring to PC's would be centered in europe and francophone/french speaking, I think that was prevented due to france's government wanting to control minitel which I think would be prevented if the socialist governments after world war 2 are butterflied.

Without WWII, US will still be the leader in computers, but without a WWII or Cold War as we know it, development will be slower in miniaturization.

There are so many butterflies, there wouldn't even be a Minitel.

See, you had a beaten France trying to regain leadership in the world in many Technological areas, under DeGaulle. This timeline, he's a unknown Colonel who retired from active service, accomplishing nothing of note other than some writings on the use of Tanks that almost no one outside of France would have read.

He pushed for a lot of distinctive French standards, like Color Television, for 'National Grandeur' for the sake of being different from the US and UK

Without him, French development is completely different in Technology.

I am talking about a No Nazis timeline actually.

Right, without the Nazis, France does not do what they did after the War, much of if from DeGaulle's anglo/americanphobia.

No Nazis, he doesn't get famous or rise to the top leadership position where he can push his vision of doing everything the French way.

The thing is Europe became authoritarian and socialist after the WWII, that is why I think the Technological advancements would be in Europe had there no WWII since mainland America was hardly damaged by WWII which means there would be more competition in tech advancements to America.

I think if we have a de gaulle analogue that would be better than we had OTL.
