Suppose instead of the WTC bombing, al Qaeda decides to fly planes into the buildings in 1993 instead. The world is shocked and Bill Clinton has to deal with a major terrorist attack in his first year of presidency, similar to GWB.

Suppose instead of the WTC bombing, al Qaeda decides to fly planes into the buildings in 1993 instead. The world is shocked and Bill Clinton has to deal with a major terrorist attack in his first year of presidency, similar to GWB.

What happens now?

Well. We definitely won't see an invasion of Iraq. And most likely, we'll be bogged down in Afghanistan. This event also might change the political system in Russia as the U.S. might request the help of the Russians with Afghanistan (due to the close proximity).
