7 Year's War: Miracle of Bradenburg Doesn't Happen

Also, there is the question what Frederick would do if his country gets broken up like that. Brandenburg would be a medium power like Bavaria and Saxony (it looks still bigger on the map, but it's thinly settled once you leave Berlin).

Might he even go as far as committing suicide? In that case, his nephew (OTL Frederick Wilhelm II) would become king. Note: That's the same guy who was nicknamed "fat playboy", who would be only 18 years old in 1762, and brought Prussia pretty much down during the eleven years he reigned IOTL. Noone will have to fear Brandenburg for the next generation if he becomes king.

Frederick is probably dead in the final battles that led to Br-Pr 's defeat. That would have been his intent had Empress Elizabeth not so fortuitously died. It will be his nephew who is left to pick up the pieces.

For everyone's information:

IIRC, the various treaties at the beginning of the war provided this partition plan:

Saxony gains Magdeburg and Halberstadt and perhaps Cottbus.
Sweden gains Hither Pomerania including Stettin and the 1648 land strip west of the Oder.
Russia gains Ducal Prussia, to exchange with Poland for Courland and other parts on the common border.
Austria (re)gains Silesia and possibly the former Spanish Gueldres.
The Palatinate gains Cleve-Marck and Ravensberg, possibly Minden.
France gains parts of the Austrian Netherlands.

AFAIR, during the war there was even the idea of giving Lingen-Tecklenburg, East Frisia and perhaps Minden and even the Altmark to Hanover to make the British King a) agreeable to the peace settlement [FN1] and b) complicit in the dismemberment of the Hohenzollern possessions.

[FN1] Yes, I know. I assume the guy who floated that idea did not know how the British government worked.

Thanks so much for the map. In my TL the treaty is changed up abit.
Palatinate and Saxony's cut stays the same
Sweden gets Pomerania as said above
Austria only gets Silesia
France does end up getting Austrian Netherlands, but in secret separate treaty same thing with Russia's trade
