60 Years: The World Will Change

I have not seen any collaborative Tl's on here so i figured i start one up.

Here is some basic rules:

-I make all important Tl decisions

-Be nice to each other, we don't need any nasty disagreements

- Make the events realistic

- No Random deaths of important people, you must PM me and wait for me to improve it first.

-No mass nuclear war or anything unless I approve, which is unlikely

Besides that, have your way with it. I will post the first few dates:

January 1st- The World Police Association is formed

January 6th- The United Kingdom officially recognizes the People's Republic of China as it's own nation, the Republic of China severs relations as a result.

what date does the TL start and what about using nuclear weapons in the time line

Oh my bad, it starts on January 1st 1950

As for the nukes, they can possibly be used from 1955 onwards, but I must aprove before using them.

October 4, 1957: Sputnik-1 blows up at launch, Designer Korolev is moved to missile design by order of Premier Khrushchev.

May 12, 1959: Vanguard-1 is launched by the United States Navy. It is the first artificial satellite.

>>>>>

So Space race aborted, militarized American Space Program. What do you think?

Good,m it's a bit early, but it's good

Thanks. Wasn't the start date 1950? or did you mean more early 50 PODs?

April 29, 1951: Robert A. Taft dies when his driver crashes on a slippery road.

July 1, 1952: Thomas E. Dewey, meets with Dwight Eisenhower, trying to convince the respected general to become the Republican Nominee

July 10, 1952: The Republicans nominate Dwight Eisenhower, and Thomas E. Dewey as his running mate.

June 25, 1953: The USSR exercises its security council veto on a UNSC Resolution 52. The UN Police action is aborted.

September 24, 1956: President Dwight David Eisenhower has a heartattack, he dies en route to the hospital. Vice President Dewey becomes the 35th President of the United States

"I, Thomas E. Dewey do solemnly affirm that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."

November 5, 1958: Republican Nominee Richard M. Nixon narrowly wins the California governor's race, thanks in no small part to a visit by President Dewey.

Taft gone, Eisenhower died in 1956 so a short market chaos. Dewey becomes President, giving the Republicans a more liberal bent. Nixon being Governor of California. Korean War can no longer be a UN peacekeeping action, it will have to be a coaltion. I guess it could lead to an early WW3 with limited nukes but I will leave that up to the rest of you

EDIT: That Heartattack thing did happen IOTL just that Ike survived, hope its not too ASB
