Inspired by previous collaborative timelines, this timeline intends to go a step further. While previous collaborations had a limited scope in terms of how far it would stretch for, this one does not. I have no clue if continuing for what seems like forever is a good idea, but at the end of the day it is both an experiment and a fun game. After all, history doesn't stop after a certain point. Until the universe ends, of course.
This timeline will begin on March 26 2013 and continue indefinitely. Let's try to get something down for every day, if we can.
Here are a few events to kick things off:
March 26 2013: Construction of The Pinnacle, a London skyscraper intended to become the second tallest in the European Union (after the Shard, also in London) is announced to be continued in late April. Construction of the tower had been halted since March 2012.
March 27 2013: A pair of American tourists are killed while in Pyongyang, North Korea. The North Korean government claims this was the act of a fanatical anti-America citizen. However the US remains tense over the incident.
Information is leaked regarding the 2013 instalment of the Call of Duty videogame franchise, supposedly called Call of Duty: Unthinkable. Some predict that it may be set in an alternate history of World War Two in which Operation Unthinkable, a plan by the British and Americans to attack the Soviet Union at the end of the war, takes place. Activision and Infinity Ward remain silent.
March 28 2013: North Korea admits that the two tourists were shot dead by Korean People's Army soldiers after they illegally photographed a restricted area. Despite the protests of the tourist's families, US Secretary of State John Kerry says that if they committed illegal actions in the country they should have expected the response they were met with, especially in North Korea. FOX NEWS in particular is furious with this, as it tends to be with anything the Obama Administration says or does. Glenn Beck asks "Who shoots someone for taking pictures?!"
