Dutch Republic v Mogadishu
Dutch Republic 4-0 Mogadishu

The Dutch have smashed the African nation of Mogadishu in Erfurt tonight. Hendrik van Barneveld, who lifted the World Cup as captain of the flying Dutchman in 1994, was energetic on the touchlines, spurring his team on. The trouble began for Mogadishu when Ali Nuur brought down Simon Crujif in the penalty are after only 7 minutes. Romarinho's penalty went into the top corner; the goalkeeper had no chance. Clockwork Orange kept up the pressure throughout the first half, but Taagaane Warsome proved to be an able keeper, keeping out the Dutch until the 2nd minute of stoppage time at the end of the first half, when centre-back Edwin de Boer headed in a corner.

In the second half, the Cheetahs played better, with goaline technology disallowing a shot from Amin Daud. The Dutch then went on the offensive, with Paulo Taffarel tapping it in after a great run by captain Snijer. In the 88th minute, substitute Jan Wever scored from 35 yards out, in a incredible volley many are dubbing the best goal of the tournament so far.

20 June:- Match Preview:- Nigeria V New Holland

New Holland play their second match in Augsburg tonight, against Nigeria. Nigeria are an "up and coming" team, historically average but now benefitting from a fresh generation of players that have certainly caught the limelight after last week's surprise 5-0 win over Levantine. This fixture is a first for both countries.

Despite the Nigeria-Levantine shocker, New Holland still have it all to play for. Blanc can't afford another defensive first half- he will have to play an attacking formation right from the start if he wants to beat the team. No doubt he will have also have seen the Levantine game and taken notes. The pressure now really is on, as a second loss will almost certainly end New Holland's World Cup campaign, and possibly Blanc's tenure as Manager. The team will have to deliver tonight, even if it is just in scoring goals.

It is hard to call this match- any outcome seems possible. The test for the team will be how well they seem to perform. A 3-2 loss, for example, is still an improvement over 2002, whereas a 3-0 loss will be framed as a disaster. If knockout qualification is off the table, their remaining cards must be played well.

Round 2 West Germany v Levant
West Germany also deals with Benayoun and the Levant: 3-1
STUTTGART - Despite a goal from star player Yossi Benayoun, the Levant did not manage to win their second World Cup match. After the defeat against Nigeria (5-0), the host nation of West Germany turned out to be too strong with 3-1. It was the second victory for die Nationalelf. Previously, New Holland was defeated 2-0.

After 45 minutes the score was still 0-0, but just after half-time West Germany took the lead by an own goal from the Levantine captain Tal Ben Haim. About five minutes later, Timo Werner, who already scored a goal against New Holland, signed for the second West German goal. Moments later Sandro Wagner caused the mercy blow to the Levant by scoring the 3-0.

Twelve minutes before time it was Benayoun who showed his talent. He scored from a penalty kick. Coach Avram Grant of the Levant had given the Petah Tikva SC star a starting place after he had played some decent league matches for Petah Tikva. The League star has since then trained and worked feverishly. There was great international interest in his World Cup appearance.

Due to the second consecutive victory in the group stage, West Garmany almost certainly seems to be advancing to the next round. The Levant has only a theoretical chance of surviving the group phase.

New Hollande vs Nigeria
Sport Manchuria Live Blog: Nigeria vs New Hollande

After losing their opening match 2-0 to the hosts, New Hollande face the difficult task of taking a result from this match against Nigeria to keep their World Cup dreams alive. The Lions of the Niger will be very confident after their side hammered the Levantine Republic by an incredible 5 goals to nil in their first match at a World Cup, and now coach Bartolomeu Alarcão looks to seal his side's place in the last 16. Kick off will begin soon in Augsburg, where Nigeria has won the hearts of the locals after their victory here 5 days ago.

0:
The Southern Dutchmen are the one who begin our night as they kick off

3: Obafemi Olapido with a volley that flies right into the hands of Mallet

5: Pinot passes a ball that meets the run of Poisson who smashes it into the crossbar, very unlucky not to take an early lead

7: Another chance for New Hollande as Beaucamp curls it in. Fortunately for Nigeria Lourenco is just able to get a hand to it. Great start for New Hollande

13: Early yellow card for Nigeria as Ellisonde is stamped on by Wachuku. Can't say I disagree with that

14: The New Hollanders pointing to their arms, claiming a handball Adu but the referee doesn't think it was intentional

17: GOAL! GEORGE AFELELE FINDS OLADIPO OLOGUN WHO SLOTS IT PAST MALLET! Where were the defenders?

20: AND NEW HOLLANDE RESPONDS! POISSON LOBS IT OVER ADU AND BEATS LOURENCO! Brilliant spark of creativity

22:
Peraud slams into Aguiar who is not happy, ref tells both to settle down and gives a free kick to Nigeria

28: Ellisonde is one on one with the keeper! ....And he's taken one to many steps as Lourenco scramble in to snatch the ball. Still, we are seeing a far more attacking New Hollande than the side who faced West Germany

31: Saraki is found by a through ball from Obafemi Ologun and is in with a clear chance on goal... but the linesman has raised his flag

35: Obafemi Ologun has gone down, he looked like he suffered a nasty knock against Contin and fell awkwardly. Medics are coming on... and it looks like they are calling for a substitution to be made. Obafemi Ologun is coming off after he missed the first match due to injury and now Shehu Chime is coming on.

36: Beauchamp beats two Nigerian defenders and goes to shoot! Lourenco gets foot to the ball

39: Kano just about misses a pass from Saraki, all he needed to do was tap it in and Nigeria would be in the lead

42: Ellisonde nutmegs Diya before blasting the ball over the net

43: PENALTY TO NIGERIA! No need for VAR, we can all clearly see Bardet trip Aguiar! Even Bardet doesn't challenge the decision and now Kano has a very good chance to put Nigeria back in the lead...

44: HE DOES! PERFECT PENALTY! Kano places the ball in the top right corner and there is nothing Mallet could do to stop it!

45+2:
Header from Coquard goes just over the crossbar, and with that, the ref blows his whistle to end the first half

-----

46: Welcome back, we return to our match with a Nigerian kick-off

49: Aguiar takes a shot from 30 yards and hits the crossbar

53: Saraki crosses in to Chime who volleys but Mallet gets a hand to it

55: Couquard slides into Chime and receives a yellow

62: NEW HOLLANDE ARE BACK IN IT! BEAUCHAMP GIVES THE FAKE TURN AND THEN HITS IT TO HIS RIGHT AND LOURENCO COULDN'T STOP THAT ONE

65:
And Muhammad Nwachukwu , the man who scored the brace against the Levant comes on to replace John Wachuku as the Nigerians bolster their defence

71: Pinot
comes of for Ricard

78: THE SOUTHERN DUTCHMEN HAVE TAKEN THE LEAD! POISSON PIVOTS AROUND DIYA AND PLACES IT INTO THE BOTTOM LEFT CORNER! Fantastic goal

82: Bardet
is off for Vautier

87: ANOTHER GOAL FOR THE NEW HOLLANDERS! ROLLANDE BEATS HIS MARKER AND HEADS IT INTO THE NET!

90+1:
Nwachukwu crosses into the box, Mallet save the header from Saraki

90+3:
AND THE REF BLOWS HIS WHISTLE THE NEW HOLLANDERS HAVE DONE IT!

It's an incredible comeback for the New Hollanders who keep their dream alive with an incredible second-half performance. Sebastien Rollande wins man of the match for his incredible playmaking abilities and that final goal. New Hollande now have a serious chance to make history and qualify for the second round while Nigeria now need to ask themselves what went wrong and hope they can get the result they need agains the hosts in their final game.

Final Score New Hollande 4- 2 Nigeria

Goals:
Afelele (17)
Poisson (20)
Kano (44)
Beauchamp (62)
Poisson (78)
Rollande (87)

Brittany v Hawaii
THE CELTS AGAINST THE RUSSIANS

Brittany 3 : 1 Hawaii

Match Report

Another thrilling match in Group B concluded with the tournament going from bad to worse for the Hawaiians, but for the Bretons it was a job well done.

The match began in a cagy fashion, with both side aware of the stakes and neither side willing to risk too much. This changed, however, when the Hawaiian captain and goalkeeper Chernikov strayed out of his area during a seemingly harmless moment in open play. However, Brittany's Kerouac had a stroke of inspiration when he lobbed to 'keeper from inside his own half, clipping the underside of the bar and scoring one of the World Cup's most impressive goals.

The match opened up after this. Not to be outdone, Valery Lukin came close with a long-range effort before a VAR decision went against the Russians. The referee, reversing his earlier decision, awarded a penalty to Brittany, and a yellow card to Igor Fridman. With Grand-Duchess Anna VIII looking on, the Breton striker Alain Tibaut chipped the penalty straight down the middle, Panenka-style. 2-0!

The Bretons were playing with undeniably confidence and swagger, but the Hawaiians were getting back into the match before the half-time whistle blew. The Hawaiian manager swapped Iona for Edgar Lee at half-time, and this would prove to be a good decision. After just three minutes of the second-half gone, a Summer free-kick led to a close-range Kalili header that was well saved by the Breton goalie. The rebound, however, dropped straight at the feet of Lei Keawe, who slotted home.

The match was heating up, with another player on each side being booked, before a trademark Guénolé Créac'h long throw-in caused a scramble in the penalty area. The ball was punted out before being volleyed back at goal by Juvad Korr - the ball slammed in off the post, leaving everyone, including the Grand-Duchess, on their feet.

After this the fight seemed to go out of the Hawaiians, and although they launched sporadic forays up the field they didn't make any concerted attempts on goal. The Bretons, content to play for the three points, sat back and wrapped up a good win for the side.

With no points out of two matches, the Hawaiians seem the be staring elimination in the face. As for Brittany, with three points, all depends on the result of Farsya vs Rhodesia.

Great Lakes vs Atlantica
Great Lakes Republic 2-0 Atlantica
A brilliant Pulisic guides the Great Lakes Republic to a victory against Atlantica

World Cup debutant Atlantica couldn’t do much against their regional rivals, who were guided by an inspired Christian Pulisic. The North American wonderkid scored twice and created several other opportunities that didn’t end up in goal only because of a great showing by goalkeeper LeBlanc.

It didn’t take long for the first goal to arrive: a textbook counterattack. After Pulisic stole the ball from Cohen in the midfield, he sent it to winger Morales, who then crossed it to Sargent who, with a header, put the ball ahead, only for Pulisic to reach the goal alone after sprinting and betting the goalie. All of this happened before fifteen minutes had been played.

The second goal was scored at the 44th minute, in a shot from outside the box, which proved unreachable for LeBlanc. The second half was a continuous bombardment of the GLR players against Atlantica. LeBlanc saved his team at least 5 times during the last 45 minutes, preventing the loss from becoming and outright massacre.

Next round Atlantica wil face Hoenn at Leverkusen, with the mission of getting a win to stay alive in the tournament, while the Great Lakes Republic will go against Aragon, looking to ensure their advance to the next round.

Great Lakes Republic: Guzan, Lichaj, Brooks, Ream, Trapp, Kitchen, Shipp, Morales, Brady (Adams, 75), Pulisic, Sargent (Grella, 80).

Atlantica: LeBlanc, MacLeod, MacKay, LeClerc (McDermott, 46), Landry, Alzamirano, Cohen (Menzies, 46), Fitzgerald (Benyunes, 75), Thibodeaux, Macdonough, Watson.

2-0 Ncube (75')

Yellow cards: 0 - 4
Red cards: 0 - 0
Corners: 1 - 12
Free kicks less than 40 m: 3 - 9

Referee: Erich Breng (West Germany): Grade B
All major decisions were correct, the VAR did not have to intervene. However, he should have awarded a corner to Rhodesia (4') instead of goal-kick, and the one or other foul could have been worthy of a booking.

Both coaches did not change their starting elevens, as both teams had won their matches and nobody was injured or barred.

The match was already off to a surprising start when Henry Nkala managed to outrun Denitsan Túzlú on the left wing minutes after kickoff. A dangerous cross onto the head of Mustafa Ncube could not be prevented by the Faršyan defence, and Markos Yeśolu believed that he needed to intervene. Referee Erich Breng did not see that Yeśolu touched the ball with his fingers and thus gave goalkick instaad of the deserved corner (4').

But after that, the game became just as lopsided as it was expected to be. Attack after attack rolled towards Steve Carlisle and his defence, but they resisted valiantly. Notably, chances by Túzlú (8', 21', 24'), Papaz (14', 16', 42'), Musa Hasan (28'), Vilyamolu (33', 40'), and even Batbayar from the distance (39') were deflected by the defence or picked up, mostly safely, by Carlisle. But the last Farsyan attack before half-time, with a shot by Papaz, was deflected by Steve Forrest. Most Farsyans had participated in attacking, and thus, nobody except Luka Beyaz - who stopped this being offside - was defending. Forrest brilliantly passed the ball onto Nkala, Nkala onto Ncube, and the latter scored! Toppling the match completely! 1-0 Rhodesia (45+1')!

The game returned to its lopsidedmess after the break, but it was not quite as one-sided anymore as in the first half. Rhodesia sensed the oportunity and at least tried to come forward and participate in the game, even if mostly in the form of counterattacks. Túzlú and Papaz continued to be the main finsihers of Faršyan attacks, but Carlisle, Forrest, Buckley, Masemba and McNeill defended just as valiantly (Túzlú 50', 60', 64', 69'; Papaz 55', 57', Vilyamolu 48'; Aslanolu 72'). But then, after another attacking attempt by Papaz which was blocked by Masemba, Kaplan attempted to play safe back to his goalkeeper Yeśolu. However, a quick Mustafa Ncube managed to get the ball and overwhelmed Yeśolu with a beautiful shot into the upper left corner! 2-0 Rhodesia (75')!

Afterwards, Faršya remained demoralised, their attempts in attacking became flawed and Rhodesia continued just defending valiantly. A counterattack was attempted by Rhodesia in the 83rd and 90th minute, but nothing really happened anymore. Rhodesia has surprisingly won this match 2-0 over world favourites Faršya!
