He also said that he spoken at length to the President's of America, and France. The Chinese Premier and the Canadian Prime Minister.

Junichiro government supports Walken, Samuels and Qian, number of missing Japanese unknown.

As international support for the United States and the United Kingdom pours out from around the world Prime Minister Ayeka Junichiro stated today that her government will offer whatever support the Americans, British, and Chinese need.

"While China and I hardly see eye to eye, I think it is terrible for a country to have citizens taken hostage. Especially having one decapitated on tv. I support the actions needed to be taken by Presidents Walken and Qian and Prime Minister Samuels."

Junichiro then turned missing Japanese citizens. "Due to the chaos this sort of event causes we have no idea how many of our citizens are missing. Our government is working with other countries to determine where our citizens who did not get to the embassy went. We have had reports of them going to the Canadian, French, Russian, South Korean, American, British and Chinese embassies. However we cannot confirm all of these stories. Chief Cabinet Secretary Kazuki, will keep the press informed as time goes on."

China grateful for Pakistani help in Embassy evacuation

Beijing: A statement from the Foreign Affairs Ministry has publicly thanked the Pakistani government and armed forces for thier help in this time of crisis. "We thank the professionalism and assistance provided by Pakistani forces for helping the evacuation of our embassy. Without their bravery and help more Chinese citizens, soldiers, and diplomatic staff would have been killed. The pilots of Pakistani helicopters who flew over Iran and Qumar at great risk to themselves shows the compassion and bravery of Pakistan's military. The Chinese People and the Chinese government will never forget this brave and kind act by Pakistan."

US continues to bomb Bahji Targets; President refuses to rule out ground troops as coup continues

The US airforce continued to bombard Bahji strong holds in Salalah and expanded their attack to supply routes and encampments near Jasken, a city that is now under the control of the rebels.

Mission flew through the night and the Defense Department confirmed that they had been successful in knocking out supply routes and targeting weapons deposits being used by the rebels across the East of the country.

Fighting continued in and around the capital, Jabal Nafusa, with the rebels capturing the majority of strategic locations around the city.

President Walken addressed the nation in his weekly radio address saying that the country would do “whatever it takes” to dismantle the Bahji operation and said that he and his leading military advisors hadn’t ruled out “any options.”

The President also said that he and Secretary of State Bradley Gilmore are continuing dialogue with various world leaders in an effort to form a much wider coalition to ensure the destruction of what he described as “this evil organisation.”

Shallick and Fitzsimmons Clash Over Congressional Approval

Massachusetts Senator Jimmy Fitzsimmons has clashed with former White House Chief of Staff Henry Shallick over whether President Walken should have sought congressional approval before launching military action in Qumar.

Both appeared on Capitol Beat this morning with Fitzsimmons continuing his critique of Walken’s intervention in Qumar. The former Mayor of Boston said that “whilst I support the objective of dismantling the Bahji network, I find the President taking such unilateral action to be concerning. There was clearly time to seek approval from Congress, approval I’m sure he would have been granted.”

Fitzsimmons found himself interrupted by Shallick who was scheduled to be the second guest on the show but said he “couldn’t stand by and listen to this grandstanding”. Shallick praised the President’s response saying “The Senator seems to be alone in thinking that the President should advertise our military plans. This President has once again shown that he is prepared to take tough and decisive action to protect the American people and our allies. We have US citizens and British citizens still in the line of fire and he (Fitzsimmons) wants to discuss congressional approval. It’s disgraceful.”

The discussion had to be halted by host Matt Foster as it continued to descend. In the aftermath the Fitzsimmons camp pointed to the support he was receiving online with the hashtag #werewithfitz trending across the country. Despite this an instant poll showed 78% of people supporting the President’s actions following events in Qumar.

Foreign Secretary savaged in the House of Commons debate over Qumar

The Foreign Secretary Fiona Wallace was savaged from all sides of the House of Commons this afternoon during the emergency debate over the Qumar crises.

The Prime Minister's statement was well received by all sides of the House, apart from the Socialist Alliance's sole MP Hamish Galloway, but when the Foreign Secretary appeared at the dispatch box, it was a different story. It was clear that most MP's even those the benches behind her, hold her at least partly responsible.

Her statement was brief basically repeating what the Prime Minister had already said, when the Shadow Foreign Secretary Jack Coll replied for Labour asking when the Foreign secretary herself knew of the events taking place in Qumar, where she was and why it taken her hours to return to the Foreign Office, she replied "I don't have to answer that, it's a matter of security". Coll said it was "The Prime Minister responded swiftly, and returned to London swiftly, but you didn't who was in control at the Foreign office during those critical hours as the coup started?, I think that is a fair question don't you". Coll also brought up the question of security of the Embassy bringing up why other countries seemed to have better security arrangements, especially after the events in Syria and Jerusalem in 2011.

Conservative back benchers also criticized her including the man regarded as her mentor former Home Secretary and Party Chairman Ed Barker, as well as Buckingham MP Bob Eastwick.

Senator Thorn:Fitzsimmons comments "naïve" & "will give comfort to our enemies"

New York Senator Andrew Thorn took aim at fellow Democrat Senator Jimmy Fitzsimmons during an interview on CNN's "State of the Union" show this morning.

Thorn who is expected to run for the Democratic Presidential nomination in 2018 hit out the comments made by Senator Fitzsimmons that the President should have sort Congressional approval before hitting Islamic Bahj on Friday and that the US should stay out of any action in Qumar.

"For someone who sought the highest office in the land, and will probably seek it again, I found Senator Fitzsimmons comments naïve and that they will give comfort to our enemies across the world". Thorn who is a regarded as liberal by many will be surprised by his remarks adding "America was attacked again, it is not about party politics it is about standing by our President as he does the right thing".

Government forces: "We control 80% of Jabal Nafusa"

Forces loyal to the Government in Qumar have claimed that they are back in control of around 80% of the City, after a serious of counter-attacks against rebel military forces and Islamic Bahji forces.

It seems that the coup has failed but now seems to be spiralling into a civil war, something the likes of the United States, China and the United Kingdom will be determined to stop. A statement was released via the net this morning, although it understood that the Sultan and his Prime-Minister are still at an unknown location away from the capital.

A concern will now be that now the initial coup has failed, Islamic Bahji will kill the western hostages they have taken, believed to be around 150 including mostly British, Chinese and Canadians, although they are believed to be around ten Americans as well.

Islamic Bahji demand the surrender of all Government forces & the Sultan or they will publically execute all the hostages

The ongoing crises in Qumar has escalated tonight with a chilling video by Islamic Bahji demanding the surrender of all those forces still fighting for the Government and that the Sultan should surrender himself personally to them or they will kill all the hostages held, which they claim is 192, including over 25 children.

The statement released on the internet said "We demand the surrender of all those fighting for the puppet regime of the Sultan to surrender and for the Sultan to surrender himself personally to us by 12 Noon PM on Tuesday, or we will publically execute all the hostages we hold". They have already killed at least one Chinese hostage and the fate of the British Ambassador to Qumar is unknown after reports that he was killed during the capture of the Embassy on Friday.

Rebels Storm Royal Palace As Fighting Intensifies; Bahji Take heavy losses in the East

Reports overnight from the Qumari capital suggest that rebels have seized the Royal Palace in Jabal Nafusa and that parts of the military loyal to the Sultan have surrendered key strategic points across the city.

The Prince Ehsan bridge, the main route in and out of the city was seized by rebels late last night and that seemed to be the trigger to launching a full scale attack on the palace. The remaining government forces were overwhelmed after what has amounted to a four day siege of the palace.

The developments follow yesterday’s demand by the new “Islamic Government of Qumar” that all remaining government forces surrender or they will kill the 150 or so hostages they have taken across the city.

In the meantime US forces continued their assault on Bahju strongholds in the East with reports of significant damage to the terrorist’s infrastructure. For the first time a combined US/UK mission struck at targets near the capital, reportedly striking at two military bases and an intelligence centre that have fallen to the rebels.

Reports in Washington suggested that the President had authorised the use of US ground forces in limited land assaults against Bahji forces near the Strait of Hormuz. It was unclear whether this was fore runner to a land invasion.

US Forces have rescued Sultan

A few minutes ago, Secretary of Defence Brian Cambridge confirmed that US Special Forces had taken part in an operation authorised by President Walken to secure Sultan Manab Hessani.
The Sultan and his Prime Minister Reza Kassem had been on the run with a small bobyguard of loyal army officers. They had been holed up in a army base about 15 miles north of Jabal Nafusa.
There had been concerns that Bahji forces were closing in on their position and so US Special Forces flew in and secured the Sultan. He is now on his way to an "undisclosed location".
The US has made clear that they will not hand over the Sultan to the Bahji despite their repeated claims that unless the Sultan is handed over to them by Wednesday they will kill all the hostages held in Jabal Nafusa.

China begins bombing Qumar, troops building up in Pakistan.

Karachi: it has been seen over the course of the last few days that the Chinese military presence in Pakistani airbases has drastically increased. An unknown number of H-6 bombers have been seen by spotters and posted on the Internet.

China announced they have begun bombing Qumar with H-6k bombers, J-10's, J-15's launched from Mao Tse Tung, and Q-5 ground attack planes. The H-6K bombers are armed with CJ-10 cruise missiles and are launching thier weapons over Iran into Qumar.

China has remained silent on if special forces troops have been deployed to Qumar. But footage from Pakistani social media shows men in Chinese patterned camouflage coming off of transport planes. While China lacks the same number heavy transport planes as the US, for a paratrooper invasion of Qumar the Chinese do have enough to transport the 15th Airborne Corps (30,000 men) for a ground assault.

Some experts believe Beijing regardless of what happens to the hostages will put troops into Qumar to secure their oil interests.

But without any confirmation from Beijing no one can be certain if this is a prelude to invasion or China setting medical centers in Pakistan for their rescued hostages.

Details emerging of the SAS rescue mission

Details of the dramatic hostage rescue of the hostages held by Islamic Bahji at Jabel Nefusa International Airport have been emerging this morning, following the brief statement made by Prime Minister Richard Samuels this morning.

It seems that the Prime Minster gave the go ahead for the mission after fears for all the hostages safety after intelligence services overhead intercepted mobile messages to those troops holding the hostages telling them that ten should be executed before the deadline as a "show of strength". The mission was given the go ahead around 5.00 PM yesterday after a meeting at COBRA. Once the forces where on-route it is believed that Samuels informed Andrea Benn, Robert Richardson and Robert Webster of the rescue mission.

It is believed that SAS forces arrived in Jabal Nefusa within hours of the hostages being taken to the airport on Friday evening to watch the location. A plan was developed with the Chinese, Canadian and US forces. The attack took place at around 3.00 am local (11.30 PM London time). Four C-130J Super Hercules transported the main strike force from a US base in the UAE, across the Strait of Strait of Hormuz. Guided in by the SAS forces dug in and hidden around the Airport they landed in the dark, and jeeps containing both SAS and Chinese forces raced across the runway to the hanger (using specially adapted silent engines) where the hostages were being held. Snipers took guards out around the building with silenced sniper guns. The SAS and Chinese forces then killed the guards inside the hanger.

Two soldiers were wounded but not seriously injured. The hostages, all unharmed, were taken to a Hercules and flown out.A simultaneous raid by Canadian forces struck the main terminal building which had been taken over as the main command centre for the Bahji forces at the airport, to stop them trying to stop the rescue forces. They also it is understood that they destroyed several fighter jets on the ground. The rescue team was on the ground for 57 minutes according to MOD sources, three minutes shorter than the hour planned.US drones circled the airport broadcasting back pictures to COBRA in London and the Chinese and Canadian military headquarters.

A military source said: ‘This was a classic operation. All the bases were covered and it was executed brilliantly. The rescue was made with surgical precision.’

Hostages Rescued! Chinese, British, and Canadian Special Forces save hostages in dramatic raid!

Beijing: President Qian Min, announced at 7:30 PM that the 188 hostages were rescued in a dramatic night time raid of Jabel Nafusa International Airport. The Chinese Special Forces group Lieshen was used in the raid he stated. The special forces units used sustained only two wounded and that the enemy lost fifty fighters. It seems according to rumor the operation was jointly led by the UK's SAS and Lieshen. Each group was assigned a task and carried it out.

"We got all the hostages back safely. Our forces along with British and Canadian Forces conducted themselves in a fantastic manner. I have thanked the commanders of our unit and the Canadian and British units on the phone. I thanked The Canadian Prime Minister and British Prime Minister Samuels. I have also thanked President Walken for his support via the base in the United Arab Emirates and real time drone footage. The cooperation conducted here today gives me hope that a united front can form against groups like the Bahji and other terrorist groups."

The Chinese President stated he watched the event as it happened in the Ministry of Defense. He stated troops of the Logistical Department were deployed to the UAE, but these troops are doctors who can check over Chinese citizens, Qian reasoned, "While our people in Qumar have top notch English skills, after such a traumatic experience they may want to talk to a Chinese doctor. We will take extra steps to see both their mental and physical health is taken care of."
