WWU Corporations Part 3
* Tunney Media Group: Formerly called MertMedia, the Tunney Media Group is the modern successor to the Tunney conglomerate of the 1930s. Known for being one of William Randolph Hearst's fierciest rivals. In the 1940s it created NBS which allowed the company to survive through the 1960s when newspaper sales started to dwindle. It was bought out by a French multinational corporation in the late 1980s (and renamed it MertMerdia) but the Tunney family in the mid 2000s was able to get control of the company and change the name back to Tunney
