OTL, Al Gore conceded the election on December 13, 2000 despite many Democrats urging him otherwise. What if he refused to recognize the Supreme Court's ruling?

I have a hard time believing Gore would refuse to recognize the Supreme Court ruling, but if he did for what ever reason, as someone else said, he would be a laughing stock outside of the Democratic party and Bush would still be inaugurated anyway. Plus, he'd kill any chance he had at running again in 2004 or 2008.
Either way, the only way I can see him staying in longer is if the recount continued, as he would have had a 50/50 chance of winning.
