2,000 Years of Barbarians -Revised-

The Invasion
AD 20 - AD 100

Warring Barbaians from the steppes of Asia united into one "Hunnic" Empire destroyed the western tribes and started the collpase of the Roman empire. The Germanic, Slavic, Baltic, and Celtic tribes guickly fled the hunnic controled lands. a large portion of these tribes fled to rome, where they caused problems for the romans.

In AD 37, Tiberius split the "uncontrollable" empire in two. He became the last emperor of united rome.

Western rome felt the largest amount of damage. Gaul was almost completely controled by multiple warring celtic tribes, only south-eastern gaul was still under roman control.

Baltic tribes fleeing the huns landed in scandinavia, where the balts and germans fought. The Germanic tribes lost a portion of there territory to the balts.

The Huns did not appear in the Pontic Steppe until the late 300's CE.

Gaul was fully under Roman rule during the First Century CE. And that includes the Aquitanni.

And the Baltic homelands don't have a whole lot that a nation like the Huns would be after. They fought the Romans for loot, which they needed to keep their vassals together. And the notion that "the Germanic and other northern peoples were forced to flee from them" is something of an exaggeration. Hunnic armies actually consisted mostly of Germanics and Sarmatians more than they did actual Huns. The former, anyway, would have made up the number of infantry in Hunnic forces.

Perskalii
AD 200 - AD 500

The Christian kingdom in syria expands into north africa and egypt. Christianity is becoming a common religion in southern europe, and multiple rulers have converted. The diminishing force of eastern rome caused the Galatains and Armenians to gain independance.

The Belgae kingdom in britain has established territory in ireland, while the other Belgae kingdom is taken over by rebuilt roman army.

The Crimea kingdom changes into "Ruscha" and takes over a large amount of territory. The Goths have also built up a large empire in germany.

The Prophet Ivan is born in Kiev, where he soon establishes the Perskalii reilgion against the pagan rulers of Ruscha.

The Alpine celtic kingdom breaks into multiple kingdoms, only two surviving in AD 500.

Expansion of the Known World
AD 800 - AD 1200

The Vivrant ideas from the past are reignited in this age. Merchant comming back from India gave knowledge of sugar and other plants. Trade cities became lagre towns with an expansivive wealth. Enlightenment started and feudalisim decayed as monarchs became richer and richer. Literacy grew with the brining of the "Grey Inker" to Ruscha and the Mesopotame. The collapse of the Christain empire let philosphers in the balkans and the middle east spread wonderful art and literture from anicent empires of greece and egypt that fell long ago. Land and sea trade with far-away china and india brought advanced weaponry to the east and advanced medicene to the west.

Even though it was mostly peacefull in this era, Galatia, Ruscha, Perisa, and Mesopotame were annoyed about claims. Mesopotame claimed parts of Asia minor in Galatia and a large portion of Perisa. Ruscha claimed northern Mesopotame, Persia claimed Babylon, and Galatia claimed northern Mesopotame and syria.

Begining of Colonialisim
1200 - 1478

Disuputes over the middle east boiled over, and Mesopotame was mashed in a coalition war Aginst Galatia, Ruscha, and Persia. These countries got there claims. Relations in northern europe were also bad, as the Jutes, defeated the Goths and the Balts in a succesion of wars. Jutlands main language changed to English, and they quickly built and small empire for themselves. The ruined balts soon broke part, with the main empire suriving in sweden.

In 1442 an explorer from Japan discovered a vast, rich continent, and soon new Edo was founded on the shore. The Aquitains in 1452 and the Erieblions in 1478 also found a rich continent, and both countries established colonies on it.
