1991 Soviet coup d'état works

Culture would probably be similar to what we had during the cold war. Ironically the Russians might not be used as the bad guys as much in movies when compared to our timeline.

I am no expert on the subject but I am skeptical the coup could ever have worked. It was poorly conducted and occurred past the point that Gorbachev era changes could be significantly arrested.

It'd be like the Spanish Civil War, the Lebanese Civil War, the Syrian Civil War, the Chinese Civil War, the Russian Civil War, and the U.S. Civil War plus nukes.

I doubt it would be that apocalyptic. Most Soviet allies would probably be in a state of break away or don't break away. The army would be largely under the command of whomever had control of the Kremlin, but the people in Russia wouldn't have stood for the coup plotters. It would be a very brief war.
