Hi, I'm not sure if any of you guys are familiar with the work of a Thomas Wicker? Anyways, he was a NYT reporter who predicted that the 1972 election would provide a realignment where the two party system would die, and the new not three, not four, but five major political parties would sproung up. Sounds ASB? Yes, but I'm going to attempt to make it sound a little less ASB and more realistic. Here we go:
1972: Wicker's America
**********************************************************
The coming Political reelection battle in 1972 for Richard Nixon will not be a simple election, such as 1968, or 1964, or even 1932. This election will change the alignment of all Parties, the current ones, and the new ones that will be created.
The system must and shall be changed, the Republicans and Democrats have alternated since the end of the Civil War, and the editors of The Nation agree almost unimanously that the political system entrenched in the United States is long overdue for a political change. Below is what shall come forward in the coming years.
A center- left Party shall emerge, probably led by Eugene McCarthy, or even some of the current leading Democrats such as George McGovern or even Republican John Lindsay. The party will be somewhat to the right of the Democrats on economics, but still advocate Progressive politics such as everybody’s right to healthcare, and ending the continuing massacres currently partaking in Vietnam.
Mr. George Wallace’s American Independents shall remain, and stay a very successful Party in the South. This party will eventually swallow Blue Collar Republicans in the Rust Belt, leading to Mr. Wallace’s Party becoming most likely the third strongest Party, behind the two majors, and leading the two lesser.
A much farther to the left Party will emerge, probably led by some Activist leader, such as Dr. Benjamin Spock, or possibly turning to a more “respected” face, Julian Bond. This Party shall encompass the “New” Left, advocating Progressive policies much to the left of all four of the other Parties.
The current major Parties, the Republicans and Democrats, will still remain in their status, they will also continue to be somewhat larger than the others, but will no longer be the only ones capable of wilding power once this realignment takes place.

NIXON ASSASSINATED
President Richard Nixon, the 37th President of the United States, while visiting New York City to meet with some New York Republican officials, including Governor Rockefeller, was shot two times in the chest, and once in the head by an assassin. The Secret Service quickly gunned down the assassin, and attempted to rush the President to a hospital, but to no avail, President Nixon died at approximately 2: 06 PM, three hours and forty minutes after he was shot.
The Gunman has been identified as Arthur Bremer, an unemployed citizen who, wrote in his journal, needed to prove his “manhood” by “stunning the world.” Bremer was killed in conflict with the Secret Service after he gunned down the President.

VP AGNEW SWORN IN
Vice President Spiro Agnew was sworn into the Presidency at 12:00 this afternoon at the White House, following the assassination of the now deceased President, Richard M. Nixon. Agnew called for “National Unity in light of this tragic crisis” and announced he would make an address to the American people tomorrow night, January 23rd about the crisis.
Agnew also announced that all of the Nixon cabinet would stay on, and that the nation could expect another Vice President in the coming month. President Agnew refused to give any specific names. But there are speculations such as Howard Baker, Gerald Ford, Hugh Scott, and even Nelson Rockefeller.
Meanwhile, Congress unimanously voted to allow Richard Nixon’s burial in Arlington National Cemetery, as according to his and his widowed wife, Pat Nixon’s wishes.

You heard it first from here folks, a large gathering of America’s most disobedient children, most notorious drug users, largest domestic terrorists since the Civil War, and farthest left group of “Americans” and “Freedom Fighters” has chosen Portland, Oregon to dishonor America, and themselves for the thousandth time in a row. Many Far- Left Political groups are organizing what they call a “Convention” and are sending “delegates” to this gathering.
Organizations that are sending delegates: The Black Panther Party, Students for a Democratic Society, various “Yippie” organizations on the West Coast, and Vietnam Veterans against the War.
Among the guests attending and given a speaking role will be Jane “Hanoi” Fonda, the Actress who did nothing but whore herself out to the North Vietnamese, and created the notorious far left and Anti- American FTA (Or F*ck the Army) Road tour to protest the War against Communism in Vietnam. Fonda also said this of Communism: "I would think that if you understood what Communism was, you would hope, you would pray on your knees, that we would someday become communists."
If Hanoi Fonda was not bad enough, the guest of Honor and the keynote speaker at this convention is none other than Dr. Benjamin McLane Spock, the wealthy Pediatrician and writer from the most liberal sections of California. Spock, other than advocating treason, surrendering in Vietnam, and pardoning traitors, has also taken up interests in supporting killing children before they are born, and legalizing Homosexuality and all drugs, marijuana, LSD, the whole package. Spock supposedly has a very important announcement to make, and I suspect the words “Abortion, Marijuana, Dictators, Nixon and Fascist” to all come up, possibly in the same sentence.
So while the rest of us hardworking, patriotic, and taxpaying Americans are Working, going to Church, and contributing to society, Spock, Hanoi Jane, and their cronies will be praying (if they even know how to pray) for the destruction of one hundred ninety five years of sacrifice; while they are smoking their weed, and piling on the LSD.

“Four years ago, I had the honor of being nominated as the running mate of Martin Luther King Jr, at a convention, very similar to this. Unfortunately, that convention in Chicago was dispersed by agents of a Federal Government, very much similar to the one occupying the throne today. Even more unfortunate was the death of the top of the ticket that never was just one year later.
I have no doubts that if Martin Luther King was alive today, he would be sitting right here giving a speech, with myself at his side like it should have been four short years ago.
My friends, if anything, the administration of Lyndon Baines Johnson, has shown us that the Democratic Party is not what they claim to be. The Democrats are no longer the Party of positive Progressive Change. It is up to us my Friends! We must carry on the dream of Martin Luther King, of Malcom X, and other Progressive thinkers who have been silenced by an intolerant, selfish, and undeserving Government!
I hereby establish the Social Democratic Party, the Party of true Progressive Idealism, where it’s okay to have control of your own body, where the children of the South can get delivered a quality education without being escorted by Police every day, where billions of dollars, and millions of lives are not wasted by an intolerant establishment
Ladies and Gentlemen! Thank you for your time!

PRESIDENT, DEMOCRATS, WALLACE CONDEM NEW PARTY
President Spiro Agnew condemned the new Party, the Social Democratic Party, created yesterday by a convention of youth anti war protesters, feminists, and “New Left” self described “Hipsters.” Agnew called the SDP “The closest thing to Communism besides the CPA (Communist Party of America) itself. Agnew announced that he would continue his predecessor, Richard Nixon’s war policy in Vietnam. The President replied to reporters: “No matter what a hand full of confused militants think, the Majority of America supports our efforts to contain Communism, and that’s that.”
The Democratic Party has not created an official statement, but some key Democratic leaders, such as Henry “Scoop” Jackson (D- WA) and Hubert Humphrey (D- MN) have condemned the new creation. “They are a handful of militant anarchists, bent on poisoning this great land,” said the Washington Senator.
Alabama Governor George Wallace has also condemned the SDP, calling the Convention, the “largest domestic gathering to preach about how terrible America is, it ain’t right.” Wallace is rumored to possibly have intentions for a 1972 Presidential run.

HOOVER: This “Social Democratic Party” has the capability to be the largest Domestic threat to the United States, Mr. President, I urge action.
AGNEW: Definitely wiretap their asses.
HOOVER: I agree whole heartedly Mr. President.
AGNEW: [laughs] it wouldn’t really matter, whether I said no or not, you would have done it anyway.
HOOVER: [laughs] your probably correct Mr. President.
