And Gail Goodrich and UCLA would win the West bracket. In the first Semi-Final game the Wolverines couldn't overcome Bill Bradley and Princeton, as the Tigers advance to the National Title Game. In the other Semi-Final UCLA easily dispatched Wichita State and advanced. In the 3rd Place game Bill Buntin and Michigan beat Wichita State to take 3rd. I'm sorry, but I'm already seeing alarms.

Same result in baseball as OTL despite it being a seven game series in an inherently unpredictable game.
Same result in basketball as OTL, even granting this is the Celtics mega-dynasty.

So you don’t see aJoe Namath doing much for the Jets
in his rookie year?

Joe Namath actually signs for the Cardinals instead of the Jets in the TL, it doesn't effect any games this year but he will definitely have an impact in the upcoming seasons.

1965 College Football Season

Michigan State dominates all year and is undefeated headed into the Rose Bowl. The Spartans are led by Clint Jones on offense and Bubba Jones on defense. Their Rose Bowl opponent will be USC who beat UCLA the previous week to clinch their Rose Bowl spot. USC is led by Heisman Winner Mike Garrett. The nation's other undefeated team in Nebraska who will be in the Orange Bowl against Alabama. In the Orange Bowl Alabama beats Nebraska to end the Huskers national title hopes. And in the Rose Bowl, Bubba Smith and the Spartans defense shut down the Heisman Winner. Michigan State wins the Rose Bowl and the National Championship as well.

I thought about it and you were right so I switched up the results. Hope you enjoy the rest of the TL!

But now I don't. :) look, one of the beautiful things about that series is when Sandy Koufax because of his religion refuse to pitch on a holiday and came back and won games 5 and 7. You could have had him win game 2 and then the Dodgers only one of three in Los Angeles. When you change it oh, especially after someone tells you to change it, it makes it sounds like you're changing just for the sake of change. For Koufax to win all three games actually cooler.

I know it's rough trying to do timelines, you're trying to come up with the Point of Departure and in this when there are several. But it's okay to have some things the same also.

At it, like you did just now with Texas Western which was a really great story. Because they had five black players. You are going at this so fast I don't think I'm going to have time to keep up with this thing. :) I bet you were doing the World Series while I was still typing my reply to you about what could change in 1965. :) Why not use one of the two I mentioned then leave the World Series the same, because that would be something different rather than just changing a result.
