If by some miracle the Whites had managed to defeat the Bolsheviks, and maintained the monarchy, and if this barely-surviving Russian Empire continued the war to a slightly earlier victory over the Central Powers, how do you see the resulting decade playing out? Would the Russian Empire fall anyways to a different set of left-wing or right-wing revolutionaries? Would communism have better luck in Germany? Would Russia's continued participation in WWI lead to a more decisive defeat of Germany and thus less fuel for Stab-in-the-Back?
Or would the Bolshevik uprising, even though defeated, cause so much chaos in Russia that continued participation in the war would be impossible?
What would be the wider geopolitical implications of a failed Bolshevik Revolution?
Those with far more knowledge than me are welcome to suggest ways that the Revolution could fail (or conversely show that its failure is unlikely).
