1918- Communist Germany?

What if…
German Revolution (1918) Goes too far?

Bit of a draft form at the mo. Please Let me know what you think :)

To understand the Restoration of 1930 we must first look back at the Abdication of Kaiser Wilhelm II. Wilhelm was confused whether when his advisors told him to abdicate, going so far to ask if he could keep the throne of Prussia. His citizens were starving, the turnip winter of 1917 killing thousands from malnutrition. They were furious with the war and wanted a revolution. The October Revolution showed the masses that they could do something. This didn’t end well.

A major factor in the loss of the monarchy was the fact that Kaiser Wilhelm II was saddened at capture of his son Crown Prince Wilhelm at the Battle of Verdun two years earlier. Outcrying “Mein Sohn ist weg. Verdammte Krieg.” (My Son is gone. Damn War!”) This coupled with the German Food solution meant that the Kaiser was a former shadow of himself. In the words of Hindenburg “He sulked around like a ghost, The loved charismatic leader we knew left us over night”. The Kaiser’s recluse has been compared to Queen Victoria’s loss of Prince Albert. However this was at a time when his country needed him most. By the end he was a mere figurehead to his advisers. When the time came for a scapegoat the Kaiser was chosen. He was forced to abdicate. Massive crowd’s celebrated outside the palace. The Advisers all went on to have high places in the extremely short-lived Weimar Republic.
The deposed Kaiser was locked up in his palace surrounded by armed guards. The population starved worker looked at the opulence of the former emperor was living in and detested it. A figurehead was about to emerge his name Altho Rifled.

Altho Rifled stated life as an Austrian citizen before signing up with the German army at the start of the war. Winning the Iron Cross for bravery he was a fierce solider but his key skill was his ability to turn utter rubbish into convincing propaganda. When the armistice was signed he led the Abuse against the “November Criminals” saying that that they had betrayed the soldiers. Chief among his victims was the Kaiser, (who never attended the meetings & was in such an emotional state that he could not lead a battalion of schoolboys let alone a country).

In One of his most famous speeches he says “All great movements are popular movements. They are the volcanic eruptions of human passions and emotions, stirred into activity by the ruthless Goddess of Distress or by the torch of the spoken word cast into the midst of the people. The Kaiser must be eliminated. His stink must never Foul Germany again”. Altho was a firm communist inspired by Marx and Lenin, in his book Mien Kampf he admitted to almost leaving Germany to run and fight in the Russian civil war. If he did he would of saved Millions of lives.
