1912 All-Ireland Civil War - how Does It Turn Out? Does It Affect WW1?

The Home Rule bill passed in 1912, Ulster paramilitaries were getting guns in from Germany through the Port of Larne, with a view to starting a civil war to prevent it. Irish nationalists had also developed paramilitary units. Sinn Fein who wanted more than home rule are practically nowhere in the mix yet! Of course the rather large matter of WW1 intervened, with Irish men of all persuasions fighting side by side! What happens if a civil war on the whole island occurs and does it have any impact on the future WW1, indeed can it become a Flanders of a sort?
I asked an ex-Irish army officer on the likely impact of such a war and he said casualties would not have been that great as neither of the likely participants had access to heavy artillery! Surely the Kaiser would not have missed this golden opportunity to stirr it up!

Well the main problem for the Irish Nationalists is the same problem as Britain during the Troubles with the British public sympathetic to the Unionists arming them along with Germany wanting to stir things up a bit will make life for the Irish very difficult.

Another problem will be that the Irish are still at the whim of the British Political System and the Tories will be getting in if Irish Home Rule is gained and the Tories will separate Ulster at the very least.
