The ultimate problem with a lot of these alt his timelines is they rely on only one place actually changing and everywhere else just remaining static.

Germany suddenly becomes able to invade the United States in the 1900s, a literal impossibility, sure...

Why is the US and the Entente not in any way preparing? Nobody is using this chance to smack Germany? America didn't feel any real worry at Germany's new overseas fleet?

Having read the book recently, my main issue is with the naval scenes and how successful the US is there (Although the german response to convoy attacks is actually pretty good).

Its still a decent read and better than Turtledoves slog of the TL-191 WW1 stories.
