In 1901 After The Death of Queen Victoria and Edward VII's Inauguration The President of America William Mckinley Meets Australian Prime Minister Edmund Barton Concerning The New King They Both Sign a Agreement That if King Edward Does Anything Stupid America Will Fight for Australia's Independence
What does this even mean?
What is defined as 'stupid'? Why is this about the King and not pertaining to the British Government, the people who are
actually in control? As noted by
@Darth_Kiryan and
@hugh lupus, at this point monarchistic feelings were incredibly high, and being part of the Empire was seen as a good thing in the rebound off the Boer War and the Federation. In fact, a true national identity set apart from that of Britain and the Empire didn't emerge until the First World War; before then, there was a deep connection. You'll need a PoD much further back, and one that preferably actually makes sense.
Also, a Monarch isn't 'inaugurated'.
So Edward Does Something Stupid and The Australian War of Independence Begins

What did he do that was so offensive that caused people who considered themselves at that point a major part of the Empire to rebel?
And on the wikibox itself, what happened during this war? How did Australia win? Why is America a third belligerent (when it should be supporting Australia)? Why is
that the flag of this free Australia? Why are the commanders the Heads of State when such a thing should include heads of Government, Generals, Commanders, Politicians, etc. etc.?
the stupid thing he did was insulting the name
Insulting the name of who?
