How would the economy work for a revived and suviving UPCA? Would it rely on trade?

Could it hold up in a war, or even excel?

Is Mexico or Columbia's economy far better?

Pardon my ignorace, but what is the UPCA?

United Provinces of Central America; some people call them the USCA instead; also a revived UPCA would probably end up being a good deal for the US (Nicaragua canal, for one), while butterflying away the independence of Panama for similar reasons.

Oh, that old concept? I thought it broke up in the 1840's.

On topic, it would certainly have a very trade centered economy, perhaps the Nicaragua canal even. The region has a large tourism industry OTL, perhaps it would be even more so if the USCA stuck around.
