During the WAS, the French invasion is timed differently. Instead of February and the storms in the Channel that thwarted the invasion attempt it goes off a bit later say late March /April. by all accounts the French invasion force is likely to outnumber the home defence forces around London and the SE counties, and composed of troops hardened by the fighting on the continent.
Say the plan goes off as intended. The French Fleet engaging the Royal Navy while Transports make the dash from Dunkirk to Malden, the bonnie prince at the head of the Stuart restoration attempt. If they successfully land this changes the complexion of the War.
Is it likely to be the game changer that Brings an end to English involvement, or does it simply bring more impetus for a conclusion of the Silesian war on Prussian terms so that the Allies can concentrate on France, only now at war with both Britain and the Hapsburgs.
Is this the winning move that French planners believed it to be. That would at least offer the possibility of salvaging the losses in the colonies.
