15th Century pod in Italy

I've bin watching Assassin's Creed II on Youtube, and it got me thinking about 15th Century Italy, in 1476 Galleazzo Maria Sforza was assassined which some scolars thought led to the Pazzi Conspiracy. He was killed beacuse Sixtus IV didn't like him since he was a Medici ally, this pope was the prime mover behind the Pazzi consirpacy though.

What if the 1476 asssassination didn't happen would the Pazzi consiracy still happen?,

Also in this setting Clockpunk is delvoped as well,

Led to it in terms of technique, perhaps - it showed that stabbing people in church, done in groups, can work - but I don't think they're connected in motive. Sforza was assasinated by Milanese nobles who were tired of his cruelty toward their families; domestic job. Giuliano de Medici was assassinated mostly by members and retainers of the Pazzi family - hence the name - mostly upset about Florentine government policies and patronage. The Pazzis had financial and moral support from non-Florentines, but the Popes' involvement is unproven - it's just generally assumed since he hated the Medicis.

If there was no Sforza assassination preceding it, they'd have found another method, such as poisoning or rooftop crossbow sniping. Which could be regarded as an improvement, since it implies murders must be performed by trained professionals and not lynch mobs.

Well that's true about Sixtus IV pope from 1471 to 1484, didn't have a hand in the death of the Duke of Milian in 1476 I think he liked the idea of Medici ally killed, the same year of the creation of Spanish Inquisition he masterminded the Pazzi conspiracy, but in this setting the Duke got off with light neck wound.

It also has Clockpunk in as well,
