One possible future set of French Colonies for my timeline (Which is not ready, as-can-be-evidenced-by-this-post). Thoughts?

How come the Hudson Valley is divided east-west between two colonies, and how come the western one has an outlet to the sea they could hardly use for supply if they tried (since it isn't on the Hudson, and there are no navigable rivers between it and the Delaware)?

looks nice :) are die Pfalz and Franken part of North-Germany?

They are, yes, which pissed off Bavaria and ended up causing the three South German states to form a military alliance (that also ended-up becoming a semi-unified economic union), hence the color.

Oh, and your latest map is awesome as per usual.

Ok the following scenario is perhaps unlikley, but lets just say it happens.

After WWI was won by the CP, the German Empire and a federalized Austria-Hungary get more colonies in Africa.

The Map would be like this:

Anyway, Austria rather views their African territories as Oversea-States and treats the Africans equal. They try to give Africa a good infrastructure aswell as Education.
In Mittelafrika, the situation is not as good, especially because there are money issues, because Mittelafrika is so big and Wilhlem II wasn't so fond of equallity i think.
Between 1955-1965 Mittelafrika gets dissolved.
Austrian-Africa gets independent between 1980-1985, they manage to keep them longer because they were treaten quite good and enjoyed a good living standard.

would you mind if i borrow this for a CP-victory TL idea im bouncing around? i just need to find that thread which speculated that a victorious germany could result in communist france and i could get going....

While Germany may be able to get some of France's colonies as concessions, their's no way in hell Britain would hand over any of theirs, especially since they can just prevent Germany from sending troops or supplies to Africa while it's forces defeat the small amount already their.

Also, Austria-Hungary can not into Africa by that point.

Regarding Germany in Africa. Once the European fronts are done Germany can theoretically turn it's attention towards the Middle Eastern front. This way they can put pressure on the Suez canal.

For the current map contest:

In this TL, Europe avoided the suicidal blood bath of OTL, thanks in part to
France and Austria joining forces to take the starch out of Prussia before it
got too big for its britches. So, the Long 19th Century continued, and the old
verities were less shaken - and some ugly post-Darwin "verities" if anything
became more firmly established. But there are those who think the Long 19th
has gone on far too long, and a day of reckoning approaches...

Hey Bruce, I was wondering if you would do a post-war map as well. Wondering what the world would look like after things come to a head here.

WIP. It's suppossed to be for the MotF which is show the world during/before or and the end of the First Great War of it's timeline.

Basically California and a few other states split away during the War of Succession a three sided Great Game, a different race for Africa, stronger Japan and Russia due to a three sided Russo-Sino-Japanese War in 1901 and a difference Alliance set. The date is April 25, 1921 on the onset of the Great War when the Imperial Alliance and its allies commence a simultaneous attack on the Central Powers and her allies.

I can't believe it, but I actually hope the US saves Canada from Britain in this verse!

I'm actually kind of with you there:eek:. Even as a happy Canadian, I'm not sure how happy I would be in such a Darwinist Canada.

I'm very torn. I like the bigger Canada, but I like the Socialist USA.

I would very much like to see a post war version of that map.

I would like to see two, for the two different victories this could lead to.
