Subdivisions of the Untied States of Europe
use subs.png

The Untied States of Europe has five levels of administrative subdivisions.
  1. States: States are the first level of subdivisions in the USE. They often consist of the countries countries that formed or joined the USE, with some exceptions. They have a certain degree of autonomy granted in the USE Constitution. There are a total of 39 states in the USE.
  2. Provinces: Provinces are the second level of subdivisions in the USE. They often consist of constituent countries' former first-level subdivisions, or groupings of those in smaller countries. There are a total of 307 provinces in the USE, including the 16 overseas territories.
  3. Autonomous Regions: Autonomous Regions are a special level of subdivisions between provinces and cantons. They are granted a degree of autonomy, and have the power to override state laws. Autonomous Regions on the European mainland are usually regions inhabited by significant ethnic minorities. Furthermore, all European overseas territories are automatically autonomous regions, even those with no indigenous minorities such as the European Antarctic Territory. There are a total of 51 Autonomous Regions in the USE, including the 16 overseas territories.
  4. Cantons: Cantons are the third level of subdivisions in the USE. There are a total of 1146 cantons in the USE, including 19 in overseas territories.
  5. Municipalities: Municipalities are the fourth level of subdivisions in the USE. There are so many I'm not counting them and they aren't on the map.

Why did Brasil balkanize? Do you see this as realistic?
A bunch of European secessionist movements happened in the mid-2020s, each giving more hope to the next, and then it spilled worldwide. Brazil, already in a perilous position with major north-south rivalries, was next, so both the south (blue) and the north (orange) broke off.

Sorry bro, but this is not very realistic with regard to Brasil.

I live in Southern Brasil, there's no serious secessionist movement there, we are not like Southern US, Catalonia or Scotland.

Those who are in favor of secession are basically part of fringe classic-liberal and almost libertarian movements who have barely any appeal to the general population.
