  1. DBQ: Why is Jesus a common Christian name, but Muhammad not a common Muslim name?

One thing I can't help but find odd is that there are a lot of Christians named Jesus (or some variant of it), but hardly any Muslims named Muhammad. Is there a reason for that?
  2. Why is Muhammad a common Muslim name, but Jesus not a common Christian name?

Forgive me if the answer is obvious, I belong to neither religion, but why is that the case?

What would a "South Francia" be called?

OTL, the Frankish empire was split into 3 kingdoms: East, West, and Middle Francia. East Francia became Germany, west Francia became France. Central Francia collapsed, and so was only remembered by its initial, and very unoriginal, name. Suppose the Frankish Empire was split differently, and...

  7. Alternate World Region Names

Etymology has always interested me, and it bothers me when a region has an exceptionally boring name (Southeast Asian Islands, for example) that you need cardinal directions and geologic features just to...
  8. Names for Spain without Hispania as the root

Without being derived from Hispania, like España/Spain is, what names could the area we know as modern-day Spain have (whether it be for a Hispano-Roman state that was never conquered by Muslims, a surviving Al-Andalus, or post-Reconquista)?
