  1. An American Civil War WI: The Lone Star Stays Among the Stars and Strips?

Legitimate in the sense that the decision was done with an overwhelming majority deciding in OTL to secede from the Union after listing off 'heinous crimes' committed against Texas by the US, but yeah it was mostly legitimate within the state itself. I'd agree here, Confederates may just...
  2. An American Civil War WI: The Lone Star Stays Among the Stars and Strips?

On February 1st, 1861 a travesty was wrought. Texas chose to secede from the United States of America and thankfully such secession would end in a matter of years. So what if Texas never seceded from the Union, if it stood by America as the United States had stood by them? What impact both upon...

What exactly do you mean by that? I mean considering what you quoted essentially says, “To those who don’t really study history, it’s weird that Texas was anti-slavery, and that in the end they didn’t really need it or use it” In OTL Texas had quite a bit of slaves if I recall it correctly...

No offense, but can’t you already do that in OTL today? I mean, if you can find some in Texas today, then there ought to be a lot more in California. This is all in OTL and real life. Or are we saying there’s a lot more and they’re a whole lot grander looking?

  6. A House Divided: A TL

You... you.... Begone foul Necromancer - leave this place and never return. Your corruption is not accepted here. If you don't leave we will start the Purge, and such witchcraft is best ended with FIRE! Anyways in all seriousness, in casss like this mate, remember, it's better to pm the OP...
  7. WI: A Successful Big Game Hunt

How is the US changed, along with the world, if Theodore Roosevelt is successfully assassinated? The Bull Moose has been bagged and tagged, how is history forever changed by one man's seemingly inconsequential death?
  8. Lone Star Republic

Probably nothing, maybe some random American descendants/Americans having a party and American themed stuff, but I feel like it'd be Cinco De Mayo/Canada levels at best.
  9. What if the Great Depression never happened?

Dust Bowl still occurs and fucks America over.
  10. Lone Star Republic

When did Texas become Cold War Egypt from Eisenhower's Presidency?
  11. Lone Star Republic

True, unless of course, it isn't, as its more focused on inward improvement and attempts to avoid yet another civil war, or any rebellion/uprisings. Poor Labor Unions....
  12. Lone Star Republic

So wait, US will be a Superpower again?
  13. Lone Star Republic

Well... we now have people coming who'll be essentially the Japan of America.
  14. Lone Star Republic

Well, I wasn't expecting the Civil War to be civil, so when the bloodshed and future stepping stones for more bloodshed came out in this chapter I wasn't surprised. All I can do is feel sorry for this America. This war will likely be its bloodiest and most divisive.
  15. Lone Star Republic

    This is true. Very true.
  16. Lone Star Republic

Trust me mate, if I'm ever in Houston area, I'll go visit San Jacinto and definitely will have money to donate to the Museum/Upkeep of the Place.
  17. Lone Star Republic

    Well... that sounds interesting.
  18. Lone Star Republic

Remind me how that ended, all I can remember is bloodshed everywhere.
  19. Lone Star Republic

He'll join and later betray it, obviously. (Sarcasm.)
  20. Lone Star Republic

Seems more like the EP will show up during this war, then possibly TTL's analogue of the 13th Admendment with the way everything else has been talking about America violently ridding itself of slavery while Texas took the very gradual approach.
